I am officially back at school as of yesterday. It was nice to be back and getting things ready to go for the 25 four year olds that will be a part of my life for the next nine months. We have an open house tomorrow and then school starts on September 9th.
It has been a fun and busy summer for us.
1. The Fourth of July is always fun. We go up to Mom and Dad's for dinner and a fantastic firework display.
2. Declin and Chloee on the last day of school. This was a tough day for Declin and I. It is always hard to say goodbye, he was extrenely attached to his teacher and I was very attached to my class.
3. Declin was playing photographer and he snapped this picture of Chloee and I while we were sitting outside enjoying the nice weather. He grabs the camera every once in awhile and it is always interesting to see what he finds to capture.
4. A week spent in Lincoln City with family. We had a great time celebrating birthdays, shopping, remembering and making great memories.
5. The Clark County Fair has become a tradition for us every summer.
6. This was our favorite snack food this year: Zucchini Bread. Our neighbor grew zucchini in his garden. We would get so excited to look out the window and see several zucchini and other various vegetables sitting on the back fence.
7. We went camping at Barview Jetty for a weekend. Tony had a blast fishing off the rocks with my cousins. The kids loved playing with their cousins. Fun family times.
8. Tony's new toy. "The Boat". I am glad he finally has this. It will be taking a trip down the Nehalam River this weekend.
9. I started the summer off with my 8th Grade Class Reunion. It was so great to see old classmates that I had not seen since we had graduated 28 years ago.
10. We ended the summer celebrating my birthday. I had hoped to just let it come and go quietly, but Tony did not think that was a good idea. He had my parents, grandma and my inlaws over for Cherry Cheese Cake.
That is pretty much it for a recap. I can feel the excitement building for a new school year around here. Declin has his new supplies and is so ready to get them out and start sharpening the pencils and labeling everything. Chloee is ready to wear her new clothes and be in her new classroom.
